So you tried to log into class but get an error message that says that you need to download Adobe Connect.  That message is entirely false.  You know for a fact that you already have the Adobe Connect Add-In downloaded and installed because you have been using it all this time.  So why are you getting this message?  Basically, it is because Chrome (not Adobe Connect) has updated and set some obscure settings to a default value.  It is a very easy fix to apply.  Just follow these instructions closely:


  1. At the top right-side of the browser, just below the 'Close' button, click on the 'More'  button...
  2. On the menu that appears, near the bottom, click on the 'Settings' button...
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click on the 'Show Advanced Settings..' link
  4. Scroll down just a little bit.  Under the heading 'Privacy' click the button titled 'Content Settings' ...
  5. In the Content Settings dialog, scroll down a little bit until you find the 'Flash' heading. Under the Flash heading, click the button titled 'Manage Exceptions'...
  6. In the 'Flash Exceptions' dialog, in the text box that is directly beneath the 'Hostname pattern' title, type in boss.adobeconnect.com...
  7. Click the 'Done' button...
  8. Click the 'Done' button again...
  9. Close ALL Chrome browsers that are open.
  10. Open a new Chrome browser and launch your classroom as you normally would.
